What is Family Connect?

Family Connect is our monthly gathering created to bring together individuals with autism, their families, and caregivers in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. It's a place to build friendships, share experiences and resources, encourage one another, and connect with families who understand both the joys and challenges of the autism journey. While every event features a different activity or location, the heart of Family Connect is creating meaningful relationships and a strong, supportive community.

What does it cost?

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and community partners, Family Connect events are completely free for participating families whenever possible.

What can you expect?

Meet other families who understand the journey.
Fun, sensory-friendly activities
A welcoming, judgment-free environment
Opportunities to build lasting friendships
A different local venue each month

Who can attend?

Family Connect is open to individuals with autism of all ages, their siblings, parents, and caregivers. Whether you've recently received a diagnosis or have been navigating this journey for years, you'll always have a place here.

why it matters?

An autism diagnosis can feel isolating, not because you're alone, but because it can be difficult to find people who truly understand your daily life.

Family Connect exists to change that.

Here, children can simply be themselves. Parents can take a deep breath. Siblings build friendships. Conversations happen without explanation, and families leave knowing they've found a community that understands.

  • "This was one of the first times my 9-year-old son, who is level 3, felt truly included and comfortable. He even engaged with other children. It was such a relief to be in an environment where I didn’t feel the need to be on edge or constantly explain his needs to others."
